s. annie chung (JD), SUPERVISING Attorney

S. Annie Chung is a Supervising Attorney supporting young people through LCYC’s child welfare and Youth Homelessness Programs. Annie was born and raised in Seattle, the traditional land of the Duwamish People past and present. They are a proud Seattleite and always thinking of ways to support their communities.

Annie earned their JD from City University of New York School of Law in 2008. During law school, Annie was awarded the Susan Jones Public Interest Law Fellowship and Charles H. Revson Public Interest Law Fellowship. They interned at Brooklyn Defender Services, HIV Law Project, and the South African Human Rights Commission. After graduating, they worked at The Center for Family Representation in New York City from 2008 to 2011. Since, they have represented hundreds of parents and youth affected by the foster care system in New York City and King County.

Annie is deeply committed to ensuring that youth receive excellent legal representation no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, or housing status.

Annie’s life goal is to experience everything life has to offer. Annie has set roots in Seattle and spends their time building community with family and friends. You might find them feasting as all Koreans do, working in the garden, playing with kids, camping, hiking, or hanging out by the lake.
