Taylor Faranda (JD), Supervising Immigration Attorney

Taylor Faranda (she/her/ella) joined LCYC in May of 2025 as Supervising Immigration Attorney. Taylor leads the organization’s immigrant youth program, with particular focus on immigration legal services for children and youth in the child welfare system. Taylor’s hope is that each young person she works with will feel valued and respected and that they will be empowered to understand their rights.

From 2019-2025, Taylor worked as an attorney at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) in Seattle, representing unaccompanied children and youth in both state and immigration court and before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Taylor is an active member of the Washington State Task Force on Unaccompanied Children (UCTaF).

Taylor graduated with her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2018 and received a Bachelor of Arts from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington in 2012. She is fluent in Spanish.

In her spare time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and dog, being outdoors, playing rec league soccer, and baking.
