Bely Luu, Individal Giving Manager
Bely (pronounced Bailey) Luu (she/her) joined LCYC in July 2026 as Individual Giving Manager. As a first-generation immigrant and trained social worker, she is committed to centering the community voices and youth agency in her fundraising. She is passionate about advancing community-centric and inclusive fundraising practices that strengthen philanthropic partnerships and help protect the interests and safety of youth across Washington state.
Bely has more than 15 years of nonprofit experience building programs and mobilizing philanthropic resources for systemically underserved young people and communities. She has worked across K-12 education, higher education, and college-to-career initiatives and has helped secure more than $25M in philanthropic support for youth-serving organizations. Prior to joining LCYC, she served as Senior Director of Development at Degrees of Change and Director of Development & Board Governance at the Washington State Charter Schools Association, where she advanced educational opportunity and justice for young people.
Bely holds a B.A. in social work from the University of Washington. She currently serves on the board of Highline Musical Theatre and previously served as board secretary for CISC, an immigrant-serving human service agency. Through her volunteer leadership, she champions opportunities for young people and families to build connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring local restaurants, attending musicals, and visiting farmers markets with her spouse and children.
