E.K. STORMS (j.d.), attorney

E.K. Storms (he/they) represents youth as an attorney in LCYC’s Dependency Program in Clark County. He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2019, where he focused on public interest law and gained experience in both criminal defense and civil legal aid.

E.K. began his legal career in criminal defense at the Department of Public Defense in Seattle before transitioning to dependency work, where he represented both parents and children. Through that experience, E.K. developed a strong commitment to holistic, client-centered advocacy and a deep appreciation for the role attorneys  can play in supporting families involved in the child welfare system. He later expanded his practice into private family law, gaining additional experience in high-conflict family matters and litigation.

E.K. is excited to return to representing youth in dependency cases. He believes that young people are experts in their own lives and works to ensure that their voices are not just heard, but that they shape the decisions that affect them.

Outside of work, E.K. enjoys long-distance running, baking (to fuel the runs), swimming in the Sandy River, and spending time with his partner and their pets.
