Delaney Jacobson (J.D.), ATTORNEY

Delaney Jacobson (she/her) received her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga School of Law in 2022. While attending law school, she participated in the Lincoln LGBTQ+ and Indian Law Clinics. She volunteered with the Name and Gender Change ID clinic assisting LGBTQ+ individuals with affirming legal documents. Additionally, Delaney was the co-advocacy chair for the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association.

After graduation, Delaney practiced as a Rule 9, representing tenants facing evictions in Spokane, Washington as a part of the nation’s first right to counsel program. Further, she successfully argued in front of the Minnesota Court of Appeals defending tenants’ housing rights. Beyond her housing background, Delaney has experience advocating for survivors of domestic violence, including victims of sexual assault and child abuse.

As a daughter of two public school teachers, Delaney knows the impact that each professional has on child welfare and the support that youth need every day. Growing up in a rural community, she also knows that legal services are a privilege that not everyone has access to and strives to bridge that gap. Her goal is to empower clients to ensure their voice is heard while navigating the legal system.

When she’s not working, you can find her hiking with her wife and her black lab or in the ceramics studio.
