jackie Borgonia (jd), attorney

Jackie was born and raised in Washington state. She attended Saint Martin’s University as a first-generation student and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  Jackie received her juris doctor degree in 2021 from Seattle University School of Law. During law school, Jackie had a variety of legal experiences. She interned with the King County Bar Association’s Family Pro Bono Programs, specifically working with the Kinship Care Solutions Project and the Self-Help Plus Program. There, she assisted low-income pro se clients with uncontested dissolutions and parenting plan cases. Jackie additionally externed with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard Staff Judge Advocates and was a Washington State Association for Justice Fellow. She received the Pro Bono Pledge Outstanding Service Awardee for completing over 250 hours of pro bono work throughout her three years in law school. 

Jackie’s personal and professional experiences shaped her passion for the law and social justice. After attending Saint Martin’s University, she pursued a year of service through AmeriCorps focusing on college access. Although she enjoyed guiding and educating students about higher education, she was unable to address underlying challenges that stood between the students and their educational goals. Jackie attended law school to educate, assist, and empower those who need guidance through the complicated legal system.
